Deaf Crisis Line — Videophone & Web Access
Trained crisis counselors fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) are available to connect with you directly by videophone. Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and ASL users of any fluency level and of any age across the United States can reach the Deaf Crisis Line (DCL) 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year — including all holidays. Callers may also use the text/typing feature if preferred. Support is available for people facing mental health challenges, domestic violence, child abuse, elder abuse, and other crises.
Connect by Web: Using any webcam-enabled device, visit DeafLEAD.org and click the ASL Now button to start a live video session with a crisis counselor.
Connect by Videophone / VRS: Using your personal videophone or smartphone video relay service (VRS) app, dial (321) 800-3323 to reach a counselor directly.
When you connect, a brief queue message will play while you are being linked to a counselor. A crisis counselor will then join your call, begin a conversation, and provide support along with any resources that may help you. Available 24 hours a day · 7 days a week · FREE · Confidential.

ABOUT DEAF CRISIS LINE
The Deaf Crisis Line (DCL) is operated by DeafLEAD, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing crisis intervention, mental health resources, and peer support specifically for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. DCL serves callers across the United States and is accessible to ASL users of any fluency level and any age. DeafLEAD’s mission centers on ensuring that Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and ASL-using individuals have full, barrier-free access to crisis care in their own language — 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
