The Eldercare Locator connects older adults, caregivers, and families nationwide with trustworthy local aging services, including transportation, home care, housing, and caregiver support. Trained information specialists are available by phone, text, and online chat, alongside a searchable directory, to help callers find services in their own community.
Eldercare Locator
A public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging, the Eldercare Locator is the nation’s information and referral resource for older adults, people with disabilities, and the people who support them. Call, text, or chat with a trained specialist to be connected with local Area Agencies on Aging and community-based services, including help identifying and reporting suspected elder abuse or neglect.

About the Eldercare Locator
Launched in 1991, the Eldercare Locator is the only national information and referral resource serving the full spectrum of issues affecting older Americans. It is established and funded by the U.S. Administration on Aging, part of the U.S. Administration for Community Living, and is administered nationally by USAging.
The Locator’s mission is to serve as a trusted gateway connecting older adults and people with disabilities to information and resources vital to their well-being and independence.
It serves older adults nationwide, along with the family members, caregivers, and professionals who support them, receiving about 400,000 requests for assistance each year.
Specialists connect callers with local Area Agencies on Aging and community-based services covering transportation, housing, benefits eligibility, home and community-based care, and elder abuse concerns.
