Veterans facing homelessness or at risk of losing their housing can reach free, confidential help any time, day or night.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs’ National Call Center for Homeless Veterans connects Veterans, family members, friends, and community providers with trained VA counselors who assess urgent needs and connect callers to local housing and support services.
National Call Center for Homeless Veterans
Veterans who don’t have stable housing, or who think they might lose their housing soon, can call or chat online with a trained VA counselor. The service is also available to family members and friends helping a Veteran, and to community providers supporting Veterans. Counselors ask a few questions to understand the situation, identify urgent needs, and connect callers to local VA staff and housing resources.
