About the Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission
The Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission (ADPC) was created by the Oregon Legislature in 2009 to strengthen the state’s response to substance use.
Its mission is to improve access to evidence-based, evidence-informed, and culturally-informed substance use prevention, treatment, and recovery support services for all Oregonians.
ADPC serves communities across the state, coordinating with participating agencies including the Oregon Health Authority, the Department of Corrections, and the Department of Education.
The Commission guides its work through a statewide Comprehensive Plan, “Opening Doors: Achieving Access, Belonging and Connection Across Oregon,” covering prevention, treatment, and recovery.
