At Give an Hour, we believe in the power of connection. Our peer support groups offer a safe, judgment-free space where people with shared lived experiences can come together to find strength, understanding, and encouragement.
These virtual groups are person-centered, meet regularly, and are always offered at no cost.
Whether you’re navigating challenges or simply looking for a supportive community, you’re not alone—we’re here, supporting you together.
Trauma Informed Model
We offer a Trauma-Informed Peer Support program that’s both evidence-informed and customizable—created specifically for those impacted by trauma. While peer supporters are not licensed mental health professionals, they bring something equally powerful to the table: lived experience, empathy, and a deep understanding of what it means to heal.
Peer support is about giving and receiving encouragement to foster long-term resilience and recovery. Our trained peer supporters provide emotional support, share knowledge, build practical skills, and help connect individuals with helpful resources and communities. Through advocacy, mentorship, and education, they empower others on their journey. Each peer supporter is guided by experienced facilitators, ensuring a supportive and safe space for all involved.
