* The subject of CbD oil, suboxone or marijuana maintenance (These subjects have a history of heated emotional debate and are considered and outside issue)
* If you are looking for theological debates.
* If you are seeking medical advice about your prescriptions. * WE ARE NOT DOCTORS*
* If you engage in racist, disruptive, or rude speech or behavior.

* If you post advertisements of any sort.
* If you are trolling, seeking private messages, asking for or putting your phone number on the group walls.
* If you are not here to offer or receive help with your drug addiction or alcoholism, if you are here to promote your own agenda.
When you troll for fish, you throw a line and wait for a bite. When you’re trolling for mayhem in a discussion group, you (post) or (comment) objectionable, confrontational, or intentionally controversial statements in an attempt to generate arguments. It’s petulant, sophomoric, and harmful, and it will not be tolerated.

All Pathways Recovery Support Group

Our mission is to empower women to reach their full recovery and parenting potential through peer-to-peer support and mentorship.
Our groups offer support, resources, and encouragement to women balancing recovery and parental responsibilities; while providing opportunities to build their recovery tribe.
These support groups are VERY different than some may be accustomed to. They are not centered around any particular recovery pathway, and all are welcome. We encourage and celebrate any and all efforts to improve quality of life.
Our groups and organization were created primarily for those who might avoid (for whatever personal reason) recovery programs that preach abstinence only. This group is not about exclusion. It is about joining together on the road to freedom, and respecting each other’s right to paint that picture differently.
We understand that recovery is not a box, and we do not try to cram our own personal beliefs or opinions down anyone’s windpipe. We listen. We share our personal experience. We show support.
These groups will not be received well by all. Many will struggle to embrace the lack of structure regarding what recovery is and isn’t — and that is okay. Those who wish to grow and work through those struggles will be met with plenty of opportunity and support in doing just that. We understand how difficult it can be to accept that recovery is not a black and white, simple solution. We know how much self reflection it takes to be truly open to the idea that our particular brand of recovery is not necessarily the “right” one — that there is no right way to find and maintain personal recovery.
Our groups will challenge you to step outside whatever box you’ve been wrapped, and if you decide they are not the appropriate place for you in your process right now, we will hold the door open for you in case you ever change your mind. You will not be judged.
There will be threads about active use, medication assistance, and moderation in this group, and some may feel triggered. You will always be encouraged to speak up these things in a way that respects us all. It is 100% possible to voice discomfort in a way that invites us all into conversation about boundaries and the importance of acknowledging and protecting our own edges.
If ever you wish to reach out to admin to discuss any of this, we really hope you will.
We are SO happy you found us, and I hope – after reading and processing all of this – you’ll join us and rejoice in the rare opportunities this group has to offer you.

Greetings,
This new chat/resource group was created to help support those and their families who suffer from mental health and, or, addiction struggles during the coronavirus situation.
Please know that we are all in this together, so please invite those who might be able to help or benefit.  The five rules of respect will govern this site, so love, encouragement, and valid resources are the primary mission of this group. We look forward to the support of the community and sharing support and resources for those who need it.
IMPORTANT: Anyone who chooses to promote panic, fear, racism, or misinformation will be asked to stop and or be blocked.

DDA’s Five Rules of Respect
1. First, and most importantly, who you see here and what is said here, let it stay here! (Here! Here!) Confidentiality and anonymity are the spiritual foundations that keep our recovery possible.
2. Questions and answers are welcome and positive feedback is given, when asked for.
3. Keep it real.
4. Try not to disrupt the group.
5. It is OK to pass, if you do not wish to share.

I really want to make this group, so different from other ones, to be unique and have a family feeling of friends actually caring for others with compassion and love for each other.
It’s a safe place to be without judgement from others, and extremely confidential. Also, if you feel you can offer advice or just be a caring person who can listen and offer a few words of encouragement to others, We also need your help. The kindest thing another human can do is to offer a helping hand to someone struggling, helping others is priceless.
Unity is strength 💪
Thank you ❤️

Mar 29 all-day

24 Hour Recovery Chat Room

LifeRing Secular Recovery is an organization of people who share practical experiences and sobriety support. There are as many ways to live free of illicit or non-medically indicated drugs and alcohol as there are stories of successful sober people.

Many LifeRing members attend other kinds of meetings or recovery programs, and we honor those decisions. Our meetings, whether in person or online, consist of addicts using their Sober Self to connect with the Sober Self of other addicts. We share advice, understanding, and encouragement. We focus primarily on our current lives, not on the hurts and damages of the past. Two addicts, talking Sober-Self to Sober-Self, learn from each other, and gain strength from each other.

NJARISG – No Judgement Addiction & Recovery Information and Support Group

Facebook Group 24/7

The intentions and basis of this group are/is to be a safe, supportive, informative, judgment free (and FUN!) place to talk about addiction and recovery, and the multiple forms of treatment that are available. And to support, encourage, and educate one another. If you’re a person in treatment/recovery, are supporting someone else who is in active addiction or going through the treatment/recovery process, or you just want to learn more about addiction, recovery, and/or the various treatment options, then you’ve come to the right place! We’re here for you! This group was created, and is managed by a Certified Recovery Coach, who is also in recovery. I’ve tried and traveled various paths to get where I am today in my recovery, including: total abstinence, NA/AA, 12 step programs, Medication assisted treatment, (suboxone AND Methadone), Smart recovery, individual and group therapy, Celebrate Recovery/faith based programs, etc. The philosophy of this group is that no ONE way is “the right way,” when it comes to treatment, and recovery from addiction. And that what works for one person, doesn’t necessarily work for the whole.

REDDITORSINRECOVERY RULES

Don’t be obnoxious

We all have our own ideas of what recovery is, and many of us are very passionate about our ideas. Please be considerate that what worked for others might not be the same as what worked for you.

No promotion of outside sources (youtube channel, blog, company, etc)

This particular community is about direct conversation between people trying or wanting to recover in hopes of sharing our experience. There are plenty of other communities on reddit that allow youtube channel posts.

No solicitations to studies or research

While studies are great, we can’t sort the good material from the bad or fake marketing pushes, so no solicitation to studies of any kind.

No doxxing, period

Don’t post anything that identifies an individual or gives any information about that individual, including but not limited to email or physical address, real name, workplace, or accounts on other services.

No medical advice

Even though you may be in a safe environment, the feeling of being lost and afraid can still play a significant role in your recovery for several reasons:
1. **Emotional Triggers:** Emotions like feeling lost and afraid can act as triggers for past experiences, traumas, or struggles that may have contributed to your addiction. Addressing these triggers and learning healthy coping mechanisms is crucial for sustained recovery.
2. **Self-Awareness:** Emotions like fear and uncertainty can lead to increased self-awareness. They prompt you to reflect on your thoughts, behaviors, and past choices, which is essential for understanding the underlying causes of your addiction.
3. **Motivation to Change:** Negative emotions can serve as powerful motivators for change. They drive you to seek improvement, growth, and a better quality of life. The discomfort of feeling lost and afraid can push you to make positive changes in your life.
4. **Seeking Support:** Experiencing these emotions can lead you to reach out for help and support from therapists, counselors, support groups, or mentors. It’s a sign of your commitment to healing and making positive changes.
5. **Building Resilience:** Overcoming feelings of being lost and afraid can contribute to building resilience. As you learn to navigate and manage these emotions, you strengthen your ability to handle challenges and setbacks in your recovery journey.
6. **Transforming Negative into Positive:** Utilizing these emotions as a driving force for change can turn a negative experience into a positive catalyst for growth. It empowers you to channel your energy into constructive actions.
7. **Embracing Change:** The discomfort of feeling lost and afraid can help you develop a mindset that is more open to change. Embracing change is essential in recovery, as it involves breaking old patterns and adopting healthier habits.
While being in a safe environment is essential, addressing and processing the emotions you experience is a crucial aspect of comprehensive recovery. Remember that seeking professional guidance, building a support network, and developing coping strategies can help you effectively manage these emotions and continue on your path to healing and growth.

WHAT IS RECOVERY DHARMA?

Recovery Dharma is a peer-led movement and community that is unified by our trust in the potential of each of us to recover and find freedom from the suffering of addiction. We believe that the traditional Buddhist teachings, often referred to as the Dharma, offer a powerful approach to healing from addiction and living a life of true freedom.

We believe that recovery means empowerment, and we support each other as partners walking the path together. We believe that recovery is rooted in finding our own inner wisdom and individual journeys.

Recovery Dharma is founded on, and inspired by, Buddhism that originated in India and later on flourished in other regions of Asia (e.g., South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asia). We deeply appreciate the Buddhist heritage that was protected and freely offered by the ancestors of these cultures.

What is Al-Anon & Alateen

Al-Anon is …

a worldwide organization that offers a program of recovery for the families and friends of alcoholics, whether the alcoholic seeks help or even recognizes the existence of a drinking problem. Members give and receive comfort and understanding through a mutual exchange of experiences, strength, and hope.  Sharing of similar problems binds individuals and groups together in a bond that is protected by a policy of anonymity.

Al-Anon is not…

a religious organization or a counseling agency. It is not a treatment center nor is it allied with any other organization offering such services. Al-Anon Family Groups, which includes Alateen for teenage members, neither express opinions on outside issues nor endorse outside enterprises. No dues or fees are required. Membership is voluntary, requiring only that one’s own life has been adversely affected by someone else’s drinking problem.

Whether the alcoholic is still drinking or not…

Al-Anon offers hope and recovery to people affected by the alcoholism of a loved one or friend. Help is here for the asking.

About Refuge Recovery

Buddhism recognizes a non-theistic approach to spiritual practice. The Refuge Recovery program of recovery does not ask anyone to believe anything, only to trust the process and do the hard work of recovery.

This program contains a systematic approach to treating and recovering from all forms of addictions. Using the traditional formulation, the program of recovery consists of the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. When sincerely practiced, the program will ensure a full recovery from addiction and a lifelong sense of well-being and happiness.

Of course, like every path, you can only get to your destination by moving forward, one foot in front of the other. The path is gradual and comprehensive, a map of the inner terrain that must be traversed in the process of recovery. The path includes daily meditation practices, written investigations of the causes and conditions of your addictions, and how to find or create the community you will need in order to heal and awaken. Our community helps shape, inform, and enhance the program with their direct experience of practicing these principles. This program, then, should be viewed as a collaborative effort. We have every intention to learn, grow and evolve.

ABOUT THIS MEETING

Welcome to all genders, races, creeds, etc. Leave/Keep Substance or Behavioral issues Behind YOU!…SYS!! Early (today), Mid and Post-Recovery Peeps Welcome. Come as you Are!!

To Attend A Meeting In a Chat Room

When you first log on you will be in The Lounge which is not a meeting room, but open chat fellowship available 24/7 to members of all 12-step groups.

To go to the meeting rooms from The Lounge, click on the 3-dot menu icon at the top left of the chat screen, then click on the meeting room you wish to enter. If you don’t see the 3 dots, click the ESC key or swipe from the left if you are on a mobile device.

Tips for Chat Meetings

There is no real protocol for “informal” chat gatherings in our open chat rooms, but in our meeting rooms, we try to keep it as much of a face-to-face meeting as possible. Just as in a face-to-face meeting, we do not interrupt the person who is “speaking” or crosstalk after they are done.

Also, as in a face-to-face meeting, someone serves as the “chairperson” who opens the meetings, picks a topic and helps keep the meeting focused on the topic discussion as members take turn sharing on the topic.

Some of our meetings have a “greeter” who sends a private message to any late-comers to the meeting to welcome them and tell them the topics of discussion. If the late-comer is new to online meetings, the greeter may also explain briefly how meetings work (see below).

NOTE: To send someone a private message during the meeting, click on their name in the members’ list to the right of the chat window. To receive a private message, click on the name of the person who sent it.

If you wish to share, type an exclamation point like this: !. It’s like raising your hand.

The chair of the meeting will then call on the next person to share. In our chat rooms, it is best to type short lines followed by “. . .” which indicates that you are not finished. Like this:

One of the best tools I have found …
When I find myself under stress …
Is the Serenity Prayer … [done]

The [done] at the ends shows that you are finished, and the chairperson then will call on the next person to share.

That’s it. Those simple tools can keep things orderly even in a full chat room.

For instructions on how to log on to the chat rooms, please see this page.
